So my company recently took over a 16 screen theater in New Jersey. I never really get why we do things like that I mean really if the theater does so well why are they selling it.

Anyway seems this theater did very well, but the policy of the theater was no kids…They did not get kids movies and there were no kids (Under 17 I believe)  allowed in the theater after 6 pm and they had no child prices so there were basically NO KIDS ALLOWED.

Well in the movie theater business all the money is made on KIDS…they come back to see a good movie (and sometimes a bad one) again and again. In addition they buy LOTS of popcorn and candy which is where we make MOST of our money…there is a HUGE profit margin at the candy stand…. so needless to say we changed that policy, and the Patrons are in an up-raw.

Good thing I am not a manager anymore cause I would have to tell them to shut the hell up. I mean when they start coming back 20 times to see The Departed and but enough candy to make themselves throw up maybe we will think about no allowing KIDS in the theater. Until then SUCK IT UP or go somewhere else damn it and stop making every ones life hell. We are NOT going to change the policy back damn it !
