I TOTALLY forgot to blog about ABBA. So the other day we are at Wal-mart (me, J and the girls) and J sees an ABBA CD at the checkout and decides she HAS to buy it. We get to the car and she proceeds to sing ALL of the songs at the top of her lungs (Well half the songs cause J NEVER listens to a whole song. It is like watching TV with a channel surfer.) while dancing in her seat and trying to get me to dance with her as well. No dancing for me but I did sing along. I was shocked to find out that J is a closet ABBA fan. I mean WHO KNEW?

So yesterday was a FUN day. I stayed home with the girls while J went and got her hair done. We set up the Wii and played some bowling, but mostly the girls spent ALL day adding Mii’s to the Wii. For those that don’t know you set up a Mii on the Wii system which is a character of yourself.The girls made one for just about everyone they know. Who needs games when you can make Mii’s.

Then J got a sitter and we went out to party. Well I did the partying J did the driving. We had dinner at  the Cactus Club Cafe which was really good. We chatted like adults and I drank lots of beer. (well I drank beer she had soda) Then we headed off to J’s Aunt’s house to pick up her cousin and her friend Aaron to go to the Starlight Casino. First let me say I LOVE her Aunt’s house and if I had money I would buy it JUST for the view. I told J we have to go back in the daytime so I can take some pictures, so maybe I will post some later in the week.

So Aaron is the lead singer for a band called Second Guess he is teaching J’s Cousin Milena to play guitar and he is not not half bad. He played guitar and sang a song for us. We headed out to the Casino and started at the bar with a few drinks. MAN did I feel OLD. Seems the drinking age in Canada is 19 and we were surrounded by Young ins. We drank we laughed and we had fun, and then headed in to gamble. I played some joker poker for awhile and lost  $100.00 but had fun. I was sitting at the game and could hear the band in the bar when all of a sudden I hear Mamma Mia. I had to chuckle and was glad at least J would not be bored to tears. I felt bad since she does not drink or gamble. So after a bit of gambling I found J with Milena, and Aaron in the bar watching the band (Famous Players) they were quite good and played a good mix of songs, and a BUNCH of 80’s stuff. The bar closed so we decided to head out. Aaron suggested a strip club which I think that he was sure we would all nix, but we said sure why not. We headed off to some place that looked like it used to be a theater. They place was not as bad as some I have seen, but not exactly upscale either. They did not charge the women a cover charge, but when we sat down we were informed that we were required to buy a drink (No alcohol served) so I decided to wait outside for them as I am totally willing to sit an watch strippers, but not when they MAKE you buy and Orange Juice for $6.00.

I felt bad cause J went outside with me since she felt bad. We walked around and window shopped at some cool stores. Seems they have a lot of GOTH shops and Bridal shops located in that part of town. J’s cousin called and said we might as well come back since she already paid for my drink anyway. We headed BACK inside only to find they wanted to leave anyway since Milena wanted more alcohol. Too bad you can’t get drinks in Canada after 1-2 am. So we were shit out of luck and decided to head home.

Aaron decided he needed to pee and got out to pee in an ally and Milena popped out the the Purel hand sanitizer and told him we did not want any penis hands in the car. I decided his new name was Aaron Penis hands Of course J decided that he was really a red head and took to calling him Fire Crotch… it was pretty damn funny.

Anyway had a GREAT time and J is making Lasagna and Salmon for dinner. Her family is coming over for dinner so I have to head out, but might blog more later WITH pictures.
