So day one of my vacation is done and I am POOPED. I work up at 6:30 am and for those that know me you know I am SOOO not a morning person. Got to the airport and my flight was delayed. So I sat around the airport for an extra hour before heading off for Dallas with a stop in Atlanta. I was mildly stressed as my stop over was only 40 minutes and I was concerned that I would miss my connecting flight. Thankfully I did not as the second flight was the same plane, even though it was a different flight number.

Thank the good lord that Atlanta has a smoking room in the airport as they made us deplane in between. I had just enough time to smoke a cigarette and message Deidre Knight author of awesome books and agent extraordinaire from Atlanta (she lives there)

So I got back on the plane en route to see my BFF’s Dakota Cassidy and Michele Bardsley. I arrived in Dallas late, but no worse for the wear. There was MUCH hugging and kissing and then we got down to hanging out. We headed off to dinner at the Olive Garden for dinner to meet Debbie from Dakota’s Yahoo group as she lives in the area. Jaye Wells and Sandi had to cancel, but we will see them on Sunday so it is all good.

Started packing in the fun right away as I am only here for 3 days but we BFF’s sure know how to have fun. Dakota and Michele have become addicted to Rock Band on the Wii and have voted me out of the BFF club since I would not play with them. I have NO musical talent at all. I did TRY the drums and looked like a spaz on crack. Dakota suggested I play the guita, but I have played Guitar Hero and although I am not a TOTAL spaz on that, it is just not all that exciting to me. I was lookimg forward to bowling. Anyway I am signing Dakota and Michele up for Rockers Anonymous. Because they can’t seem to help themselves. I did FINALLY get them to play bowling for awhile and we all won a few games. Although Michele only won one game, but it was her first time playing so I say she did pretty good. (Be sure to click on the picture for a better look)

Well that is about it for the first day. Today Dakota is cooking and is BITCHING about it already. She is making Tater Salad (Nom, nom, nom) and she is making chicken for dinner tonight. Might just go hang out by the pool for awhile today although that will require LOADS of sunscreen cause as Dakota says we are 2 feet from the sun here in Texas.
