So I typed this up on day two in Dallas, but forgot to post it… so a little out of date.
Okay so I get a lot of complaints about me not blogging enough, and I figure since I am not working right now if I don’t do a blog I MIGHT get lynched by my family and friends for NOT blogging. So here is a blog about my trip to Tex-ASS so far.
I woke on Wednesday morning to a fucking freezing NY. The temperature was 12 degrees with no site of relief anytime soon. I picked a good day head south AYE (That was for my Canadian friends
) I hopped in the car at about 9:45 am and headed for the border (The NY one that is) I drove for 12 hours passing through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland (which surprised me I did not think it came that far west) West Virginia, Virginia and into Tennessee where I would be staying for the night. I had looked it up and Knoxville, TN was about the halfway point so I booked a room there. I actually should have waited since there were hotels off of EVERY exit on the way down and I was not tired when I arrived. I could have done another 3-4 hours and had less driving the NEXT day. So I hung out watched TV and went through my 593 e-mails. Idol night= LOTS of mail on one of my Yahoo Groups. I would have to wait days to catch up on it so luckily I just deleted all the IDOL e-mails which accounted for about 400 or so e-mails. It was a BORING drive with LOTS of farms and cows.
Day two of my drive would take me ALL the way across Tennessee which is a LONG ass state. I thought I would NEVER get out of. I think it took about 5-6 hours of driving. I did get to have lunch in Nashville, TN although it was Burger King so not that exciting. Although they did piss me off a bit. Why can’t fast food places make things the SAME way in every state. I HATE mustard and it is a strong taste that is hard to just wipe away. NY does not put mustard on their burgers but it seems MANY other places do and I forgot about this when ordering lunch. So I get my double cheese burger and there is mustard on it YUCK. I wiped it all off and smothered the bun with ketchup to avoid the mustard taste.
So I finally get out for TN and into Arkansas.. Who the hell decided on how to spell THAT.. cause it makes NO sense to me. Should be Arkansaw. So Arkansas was even worse than all the other boring states cause the had BIG ass farms but no cows or horses. Well they had a few but MOSTLY wide open fields of NOTHING. Not very exciting to look at, but I am thinking I will blast right through the state since the speed limit once I got to Tennessee was 70 mph most of the way I pretty much stayed at a steady 75-76, but NO I get halfway through the state and then the GPS sends me south west which means MORE hours in Arkansas… OY.
I finally hit Tex-ASS at about 8 pm I think and had 2 hours more of driving to get to Dall-ASS. I settled in and me and Dakota stayed up till the wee hours of morning chatting and catching up.

Well, I’m glad you put up this post, even if it is outdated a bit. What highway were you on when you went through MD? Being from MD originally I find it hard to believe when I hear people have to drive through it on their way to somewhere else. I’m all like “well why would you wanna drive through that skanky place?” But I can say that, because as I menioned I am originally from there. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
